Markissa (Busura), construction Health Center

Busura is a community in the Markissa district in Markissa Ward of Kombo central, western region. Its population consists of people from the Jolas, Mandinkas, Fulas, Sereres and Manjagoes tribes.
The nearest hospital is 12 kilometers from the village, in Brikima. This hospital now serves the medical needs of the inhabitants of the 6 surrounding villages: Busura, Jalabantang, Penyem, Seyomi, Dimbaya and Bajiran.
Births and consultations now take place in the second grade classroom in the local school. Weighing babies is done under the mango tree. All in all not an ideal situation.

Therefore, plans have been made to build a new health center. Solid agreements have been reached on plans for a sound financial position of the hospital. The plans for the new hospital include various rooms for the specific tasks of a health center, such as a delivery room, consulting rooms, surgeries, waiting rooms, doctors offices, toilets, bathrooms, etc.
The specified estimate of the construction amounts to 395,747 Dalasis / 11300 Euros.
