Bankaya Village borehole & Arabic school

Probleemstelling:
Banyaka Village is sinds de oprichting van het dorp al meer dan twee decennia verstoken van schoon drinkwater. De enige bron van drinkwater is de plaatselijke bron, die open is en blootstaat aan allerlei ziektekiemen en ziekten die veel ziekten veroorzaken die iedereen, inclusief kinderen, treffen en zelfs tot velen de dood leiden. Bovendien heeft het dorp ook geen goed leercentrum om kinderen over hun religie te onderwijzen en hun capaciteitsontwikkeling te verbeteren. Daarom is er behoefte aan een solide Arabische school om de mensen van het dorp en andere omliggende dorpen te dienen.

Rechtvaardiging:
Deze projecten zullen ongetwijfeld zorgen voor schoon drinkwater voor de dorpelingen en een gunstig leercentrum en een omgeving creëren voor de gemeenschap en de satellietdorpen.

Project Description (200 words)Brief summary of project backgrond, problem statement and justification

Background:
Drill a new Borehole and Build Arabic School for Banyaka Village and Suburds

Major goal

To improve the livelihoods and well being of the people of Banyaka Village and surrounding Villages.

Specific objectives

Provide Clean Drinking Water 

Improve health conditions of the people

Create Conducive learning centre/environment for the community

Develop a productive and skillful society for the commuinty. 

Expected outputs

 Improve the health conditions of the people within and outside Banyaka – by having access to clean drinking water.

Improve the wellbeing of the women depending on gardening (Agric-Business) as a source of living to support their family by having access to adequate and clean drinking water.

Improve the health condition of the Animal or live stocks such as sheep, goats, donkeys, and cattle by having access to clean drinkable water.

Help to create learning opportunities for children within the village and surroundings – thus, curtailing the number of children travelling for more 40 miles seeking for knowledge and better school.

Project Sustainability

Monitoring and evaluation- Banyaka Village Development Committee will develop a taskforce to monitor and evaluate these project’s implementation from the beginning to the end. 
Support from the youths – The VDC will also work closely with the youths to provide labour and manpower during the project’s implementation phases.
Community Sensitization Campaign – The VDC will also work community elders of all diversity to sensitize people about the use and maintenance of these projects quarterly.
 Seeking Support from other institutions - The VDC will also write letters to other institutions seeking for donation to contribute as their part in supporting the implementation stages.
