Project Description (200 words)Brief summary of project background, problem statement and justification

Since 2000 , Care Foundation The Gamia has worked to improve conditions in Jiboro. This project addresses the urgent need for reliable electricity at the Jiboro Health Centre. Currently, inconsistent power supply hampers the delivery of essential medical services. By installing a high-capacity solar energy system, we will ensure the facility has a steady, independent and sustainable source of electricity. This will significantly improve the quality of care for the community and patients from the border regions of Senegal.

Major goal

To improve the healthcare standards for the inhabitants of Jiboro and the neighboring communities in Senegal by ensuring a reliable power supply.

Specific objectives

to provide a steady and reliable electrical current for the health centers medical equipment and lightning

to reduce dependency on unstable national power grid ( NAWEC) through renewable energy

Expected outputs

a fully operational and independent solar energy system providing 24/7 electricity to the health center.

Project Sustainability

The solar system requires minimal maintenance, which will be overseen by the project leader and the local management team in Jiboro in collaboration with the community to ensure long-term functionality.
