Project Description (200 words) e.g. objectives, activities and duration, etc. 

JUSTIFICATION: Sandally community has a major problem with regards to access to clean drinking water. AThey still use open wells for  to collect water for human consumption and  household use. 

Women and children spent hours to draw water from well using 20 liter gallons. Infact some women walk more than half a kilormeter to fetch water. This make women and girls unrest during the day and less time to participate in other development activities in the community. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is aim to provide people of Sandally with a mini solar powerd system that will have capacity of 5000 liters water tank and taps heads will be located at 8 strategic loction in the community for easy access to clean water.The project will involve different activities such as, Community mobilization and sensitization, Formation of project implementation committee, Conduct one day training for the implementaion committee, Project site identification and clearing, Identification/selection of a contractor, Invoice collection, puchasing  and transportation of project materials, digging of  holes for water pipes, drilling of borehole, construction of tap heads/water collectionpoints and installation of pumps handing over of the project. 

Major goal

To provide clean and adequate drinking water for the people of Sandally in order to improve their living standard  

Specific objectives

1. To ensure people get clean, reliable and sufficient water to the residents by the end of the project. 

1. Reduce the rate of water bone infections among the people of sandally especially children under five year 

1. Reduce heavy workload on women and school going girls by 2023

Expected outputs

1. Access to clean and adequate  drinking water  
2. Improve sanitation and hygiene in the community 
3. Reduce heavy work load on women and girls in the community 
4. Increase socio-economic and livelihood activities in the community
5. Increase school enrollment especially among girls 
6. Reduction of water-borne infections  

Project Sustainability

1. A water sub-committee will be set up to be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the borehole, solar penels, and other facilities 
2. There will shall be monthly contribution from all the beneficiaries which will be use to pay the monthly allowance of the operator and to replace or maintenace any faulty materials 
3. Operator/watchman will be introduce
