Bondali Jola, Bouw van een pottenbakkerij

Het project is een project voor empowerment van vrouwen dat de vrouwen van de Gemeenschap wil ondersteunen om autonoom te zijn door het verwerven van vaardigheden en het openen van werkgelegenheidsdeuren. De doelstellingen van het project zijn echter onder andere:

Elk jaar 100 vrouwen werkgelegenheid bieden
Om de capaciteiten van de vrouwen op de productie van energiebesparende materialen op te bouwen
Om het kappen van bomen te ontmoedigen door het gebruik van energiebesparende materialen te bevorderen
Om het inkomensniveau van vrouwen te verhogen van een jaarlijks inkomen van D4.500 naar 17.500
Het is de bedoeling dat het project binnen een periode van zes (6) na het verwerven van fondsen wordt voltooid en de volgende activiteiten zullen worden ondernomen:

Site opschonen
Vormen van blokken
Uitgraven van fundering
Bouw van een pottenbakkerij
Aankoop van aardewerkmaterialen

Number of people expected to benefit from this project

The Project is expected to directly benefit the entire women of the Village which is approximately 650 and indirectly 500 women from the neighbouring Villages.

The Project is a women empowerment project that seek to support the women of the Community to be autonomous through acquisition of skills and open employment doors.However, the objectives of the project among other things is :

  1. To provide employment opportunities to 100 women every year
  2. To build the capacities of the women on the production of energy saving materials
  3. To discourage the cutting down of trees through promoting the use energy saving materials
  1. To increase the income level of women from yearly earning of D4,500 to 17,500

The project is intended to be completed within a period of six(6) after the acquisition of funds and the following activities will be undertaken:

  1. Site clearing
  2. Moulding of blocks
  3. Digging of foundation
  4. Construction of Pottery workshop
  5. Purchasing of Pottery materials

  • A full fleet Pottery Workshop
  • Trained 300 women pottery developers in 3 years
  • Create Pottery products market at Bondali

The project sustainability mechanism is :

  • To build the capacity of the management Committee
  • To store pottery materials after usage
  • To save 15% of every sales
