Bondali Tenda, Solar borehole

Bondali Tenda is een gemeenschap die lijdt aan waterschaarste omdat de mensen slechts één handpomp gebruiken die, als ze beschadigd zijn, de mensen naar open putten wenden om toegang te krijgen tot water. Het doel van het project is echter:

Om 750 inwoners van veilig drinkwater te voorzien
Om de last van vrouwen bij de toegang tot water te verminderen
Om te voorkomen dat de inwoners door water overgedragen ziekten oplopen terwijl ze uit die bronnen drinken
Het project zal naar verwachting worden afgerond binnen een periode van negen (9) maanden na verwerving van fondsen en de volgende activiteiten zullen worden uitgevoerd:

Site opschonen
Boren van boorgat
Graven en installeren van leidingen
Installatie van zonnepanelen en tanks
Omheining van het zonnepaneelpand

The Project is expected to benefit the entire populace of the Community which is approximately 750 People

Project Description (200 words) e.g. objectives, activities and duration, etc. 

Bondali Tenda is a Community that is suffering from water scarcity because the People are only using one hand pump which if damaged the people turn to open wells to access water.However, the objective of the project is :

  • To provide safe drinking water to 750 inhabitants
  • To reduce the burden face by women in accessing water
  • To prevent the inhabitantants from contracting water borne diseases while drinking from those sources

The project is expected to be completed within a period of nine(9) months after acquisition of funds and the following activities will be conducted:

  • Site clearing
  • Drilling of borehole
  • Digging and installation of pipes
  • Solar Panel and Tank installation
  • Fencing of the Solar panel premises

The project will bring out the following outputs:

  • Solar powered borehole with 10 taps
  • No more water storage
  • Reduction of water borne diseases

The project is expected to be sustained in the following :

  • Set up and train water management committee
  • Monthly contribution of D100 from every compound heads
  • Open and account in the name of water management committee and save dues
  • Repair any damage that may occur
